Saw the post on the Prestige page, a Mexican Zonda Cinque roadster at the dealership. Why is it in Miami? The Zonda still isn't road legal other than the show and display right? Anyone have any insight or information on the car being in the country? What are your thoughts ?

Did any L4P members happen to see the car? Theres only the handfull of pictures out there so far

Not my picture.

Yes of course.. What I was thinking mostly about is that AMG has stopped creating the old 7.3L NA engine, which in my opinion is about 17x better than the new one.. Not in technology but in sheer sound and feeling, which to me can not be delivered through a turbocharged car.. Well, except maybe the Koenigsegg Agera R!

I am really sorry for getting off topic by the way!

Pagani will continue to make one off models when commissioned to do so.

My speculation is that owner probably got a temp. import license, is gonna tear apart the streets of Miami, then return to Mexico. Being on Mexican tags, this can't live here forever-legally, that is. You can't get through the government's laws that easily lol :p

The reason for my "theory" is because a British man came out west to California with a red Zonda F Roadster last summer and took a nice drive from Northern California to Southern California, and after he shipped the car back to England.

BUT if it stays, that would be toooo sick!

Stars and celebs usually have residences in CA and other states and other countries for that matter. So, it's easier for them to do it. Most of us regular people only have a residence in one state. I had some neighbors from Nebraska that were doing that with about 6 cars and some trailers. It was a really expensive lesson when they got caught.

To my understanding, if you own a property out of state, you can register your car there and then ship it to California, where it can reside legally. I know of many people that do that, particularly Lambos with cat deletes :)

I remember a few months ago i visited my buddy at Ferrari of Ft lauderdale and in front of the shop they had 3 different exotics with Montana plates. I asked him who in Montana has money like that and he told me that majority of the clients he deals with in Florida and across the east coast register it specifically in the state of Montana because you dont pay some kind of tax.

That being said, there is some lawyer who has a one page ad in the Du Pont registry that explains how and why you should register it in Montana.

Here is a link that also explains it.
