i was already going through on the way home from south africa, but got a ticket for a buddy to join me, in abu dhabi. non-stop round trip flight from chicago, $257.80. a bunch of car stuff to do out in UAE. i haven't posted my blog on the falcon hospital yet but have a few car things from abu dhabi if you plan on spending any time there.

Wish I'd have seen this, I'm sorry man. I am in Dubai often for work. Usually a few days at a time every six months or so. Hopefully you made it out to the Palm Jumeira islands, and got to check out Atlantis and the Burj Al Arab nearby. If you have time, and you're a foodie, splurge a little and head to Al Munthana on the 23rd floor of the Al Arab for some of the most amazing food extant.

There's quite a bit to see down near the inner harbor and riverwalk areas. Plenty of gorgeous architecture, good food, shopping, and international, um... talent.

What all did you get to see?

i just got back home from my trip!

it was amazing! literally! so much more then i was expecting,

i was able to do alot in the 5 days i was there, i went to the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Emirates Mall, i went snowboarding at the Ski Dubai, i checked out the Gold Souq and also went to The Atlantis hotel, i might be forgetting things but i'll post some pictures after i upload them

its so funny if you walk down the Souq at how many people trying to sell you fake watches... it got so annoying at a point that i pretended not to know English lol

Taxis are crazy cheap! the food was amazing! i wish i had gone to Burj Al Arab but didnt have time... so guess i'll have to go again lol

I did a pretty packed 3+ day trip back in September. I wrote up a trip report on another site but I can post here if interested.
