Don't forget, he also [probably] gets to bang a hot Slovakian model for a month so that's another solid plus.

    Enjoy yourself, either way.
Even though I am working on a current business venture that brings me enough capital to get through the weeks (barely) I don't think the $2000 would put me in a position to travel more often if I invested it into myself. If I was done with my studies, this would be a different story. Thank you for your input and that was a great point.

I say go for it pal.
That being said, to be politically correct, you will NOT be traveling the world!
Part of one continent, yes - the entire world, sorry no.
    Enjoy though

Where are you actually traveling for the 4 weeks? I'd say travel if you have the opportunity to do so - you'll learn a lot more and experience new cultures, have some great food and see some awesome sites.

I cannot see $500 lasting you long at all in big cities in Western Europe, like France, Germany, Italy, etc. You'll blow that much money in a week if you're eating out and seeing museums. Even faster if you're going out and drinking/partying with a hot girl you're trying to get with. If you avoid the big cities - Paris, Rome - then obviously the money stretches a bit further in the countryside sights.

Now if you're touring eastern Europe - Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, etc - then you could probably do pretty good with that much money. The Balkans are amazing and pretty inexpensive - Dubrovnik, Mostar, Makarska, Budva - are awesome cities along the adriatic sea.

Yeah earning money is no doubt one of the best things you can do by offering any great deal. During Christmas or any other occasion you priorities and purchasing might have enhanced in such way you can return income or sales tax files as well.
