Here is a nice video I shot of a Zonda C12 S a year ago. Really, really cool car and I'm upset that they're illegal to import over here :(

Some SoCal members may recognize this car.

^ That specific Zonda isn't illegally in the States

The owner's primary business is in the electronics field and he has a separate company working on electric vehicle technologies. With that company he was able to establish it as a vehicle manufacturer getting all the proper credentials and such. Using that status, he's able to import any vehicle for testing purposes just the way all the major manufacturers do it. He wouldn't be able to sell the car, and I am sure there are some limitations, but it seems to have worked just fine for him for many years.
There are also other ways to drive the Zonda legally in the States. Anyway, thanks for sharing.

I know, I was saying that you can't just import a Zonda and drive it around...unfortunately :(

I'm sure there are loopholes and the grey market/kit car method proves to be effective, but the average Joe can't just haul one in and drive it around without being "killed" by the ICE.

Why are the Zondas illegal? is it something to do with passing DOT regulations?

As aimee said you can have it here but under certain rules. They will only allow you to drive it to shows and events and back from my understanding. I met with Mr. Horacio Pagani during his last visit and through a translator we had a conversation and their intent is to bring this beauty to the U.S. hopefully asap.
