are you still looking for an ipod touch? I have an 8 gig that is only about 3-4 months old as I bought a second gen and apple replaced it for me around april of this year.
Its only got the regular scuffing on the rear but other than that its perfect. no scratches or crack, never dropped as I have barely used it.
