I am doing research for a project and when buying a new car what are the top 5 things that are important to you when buying a automobile??
Think physical things about Auto. Not dealer or Tech Just the physical car itself.
If you can list 10 list 10
My 5 are
How many doors.
Reliability.
Power.
Styling.
Interior Room.

And for answering this question I will be giving away a GR2KX Gold Trucker hat at random!!!!!

Drivetrain (prefer RWD)
Gearbox (prefer stick)
Appearance (don't wanna buy an ugly car)
Interior design and materials (lots of space/prefer leather/must be comfortable)
Reliability (maintenance, long distance capabilities, all forms of weather handling, warranty)

While I know most people look on the resale value, the last thing on my mind when buying a car I've always wanted or needed is selling it so it doesn't matter to me. My past cars have all been private sales or tuning shop sales and not through dealers anyways.

Performance

Interior Space

Drivetrain- AWD

Reliability

Drove a WRX for 4 years prior, I wanted something with better performance/handling, same reliability (with similar maintenance costs), more interior space and AWD

...after reading the above post, sleeper-ness as well - at stage 2, as another LGT owner likes to say "Sneaky Fast" :D

1. "Wanker" Factor - If you did buy something, would you feel like a wanker sitting it in and telling people you owned that particular automobile
2. Style - Also part of "wanker" factor
3. Power - I had a Jetta that barely got up to freeway speeds when floored
4. Stereo
5. Room for the dogs

At this point in my life I am not looking for a 2dr coupe anymore. I need something to haul around my dogs, has a decent stereo, and I do not feel like a wanker driver. The last coupe I had I was always worrying if the dog would poke a hole in the leather and I couldn't see out the windows too well with his head bopping around.
