I love mine.... s90 does amazing quality photos and ability to shoot raw. They might have the s90s out by now which records better video (not really a feature I care about)..

I originally got this camera to replace my high end DSLR when I traveled, and it has done a great job!

The best point and shoot?

**Edit**

Forgot the new Canon was out.

Either the Canon S95 or the Samsung TL500 are the powerhouse point and shoots on the market.

Although neither of them shoot video in 1080p. :eek:hwell:

Samsung:

Canon:

Panasonic Lumix Zs7. 12x zoom, amazing HD video capabilities, GPS built in for photo tagging, best vibration reduction I could find. I've had it 2 weeks and it's the most amazing camera I've ever used (that will also fit in your pocket).

If I remember correctly, Canon pretty much owns that market when it comes to performance and quality.

I have a Canon and it does a great job.

Canon G11 ftw. Many of the functions of an SLR without the cost or size.

True, i guess when I think of p&s, I think of something that will fit in my back pocket.
the new G11s are pretty small. Not back pocket small but just about.

Panasonic Lumix LX5 ($500), Canon S95 ($400), or Samsung TL500 ($350) are all great. S95 is best for size, Lumix best for features/performance, TL500 is the cheapest with great performance.
