My fiance and I have been working on clearing out our walk in closets, removing clothing, guns, stuff we don't use. Hell I found a AK47 and a GSG behind my shoe bin? Any way we had a new safe installed yesterday and we started to move about 25 watch boxes? I know better than to throw them away but does anyone have any creative ideas on what to do with them? My fiance suggested a plastic bin and move them up stairs? :bitenails:

Looks like the safe has a storage place. Not large enough? I'm kinda OCD about them (and I also don't have that many to keep up with) but I like them to be as protected as my watches (from theft, fire, etc) so I keep mine in the bottom of my safe.

We have a few large items that are at the bottom of the safe, I have the same feeling I don't want to mess them up JIC I ever need to sell and of the watches.....

I like your wife's idea as mine are all over driving my wife nuts. How about stacking them against a wall showing of the tops as some sort of display?

I too am a little OCD about my watch and jewelery boxes. I have a dedicated closet for them.

For an option on what to do with them, the coolest thing I have seen is a lamp. I have also seen this done with cigar boxes as well.

I sold a few of mine for about $50 a piece on eBay....then I started wondering why anyone would buy them and got worried about my willingness to sell fueling some knock-off artist's business of passing s**t off in real boxes. I have about 25 sitting around that I now keep because I like them and we have room.

Does anyone know why someone would pay that much for an empty box...any ideas?

Some buy the boxes for older watches where the box and papers were lost.I have some older tag heuers that I bought the vintage boxes for,so not all of them get bought to put replicas in them.
I keep them all in a closet with all straps, links and documentation with them.Since I buy and sell quite abit, having the boxes helps the sale.
