something is not adding up
The curb weight of the Nissan GTR in lbs is 3,814
The curb weight for a base model 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera is 2,954 lbs.
700-800 lbs difference, same hp and the gtr is winning
:bsflag:
That doesnt make sense to me also, but you have to realize the GT-R still runs a 2.8 0-60 weighing 4000 pounds with a driver. For the power to weight ratio i have NO FUCKKING IDEA how it gets that, but whatever it is, its just an engineering marvel!
This also didnt make sense to me, how does the TTG lose so much low end power? Its still a v10 with a lot of available power, it really makes it that much slower at first?
So there is a good weight difference between the 2 but to be honest I don't think the guy in the Super G was pushing his car that hard cause those races were pretty short and he didn't even get it up to 300 km/h (186mph).
This is turning out to be one of the dumbest races I've heard about. 700lbs+ weight difference AND the ttg will have ~300whp more. If the gtr had the 300hp advantage then I'd say it's a fair race.
Historically, the GT-R has always been the quicker car horsepower for horsepower, when set up in any race. The double clutch gearbox works magic for these cars. There is no interruption from the flow of power between shifts.
But this is why street racing has become so forbidden. Cause people like this have to race on the highways around other cars and when your coming up on someone that fast your not gonna react fast enough if they decide to change lanes cause they get spooked.
It looks like UGR just built another car for someone with a BIG wallet. I hate to say it but no AMS car would touch this in a roll race or standing mile.

^ I completely agree. There's NO WAY A TTG should loose. Unless the driver of the ttg is scared or doesn't know what he's doing.
