Tourneau's sample sales are one of the best kept secrets to getting a luxury watch at an affordable price from a major retailer. If you are in New York City on September 11th, I highly recommend you go. Please note that the sale is not located at the Tourneau store. This exclusive event will be held at Soiffer Haskin at 317 West 33rd Street, in New York City. The event runs from September 11th - 16th, but you really (really) want to get there on the first day. Why? Because this is a limited quantity sale, and the best stuff goes quick - trust me.

What brands will be there? Very hard to say. Tourneau pulls unsold inventory from area stores, and each store can have different brands. You won't be disappointed with the selection, and the prices are 50-70% off - if not more. So check it out, then come back and brag about the deal you got.

Has anyone ever done this?

I took advantage of this sale earlier in the year in Atlanta, GA. I bought Tourneau's Gotham Avant-Garde Chrome with their extended service/maintenance plan. A new band for three years and at the end of the term they tune and polish. It was 70% off or I would not have bought it. I was out the door for $1800 or so. Tourneau is out of control with their pricing IMHO. This sale is the one day that a deal can be had at Tourneau.

^^ Have no idea but as bad as they suck I'd assume they do. Funny thing is the other day Wickedlysane and I are in there and the whole staff had changed. Moreover, for the first time EVER we were offered a 5% discount on a watch not on sale. Goofballs...

^^ the sale when you got your watch was Tourneau's brand only, this sample sale is all brands and only in NYC.

The staff at our area Tourneau is a joke - they said the Pilot bracelet isn't being made for Breitlings any longer.

I'll be interested in hearing from anyone who goes to see if they have anything decent or if it's just going to be the lower end brands. I've never seen Tourneau and "good deal" mentioned together.

I've actually had excellent service at Tourneau. I've bought a few pieces at their Time Machine NYC store and most of them from the DC area store. Nothing bad to say about them at all. I especially like their Extended Service Plan. It's saved me 3-4x the price I paid for the plan easily over the course of 2 years.
