Well, there you have it! The Henry Graves Jr. Patek Philippe Supercomplication hammered just seconds ago for an amazing CHF 20,600,000, which, after commission, brings the total sale to CHF 23,237,000. In today's USD, that equals over $24,000,000!

The majority of the high-dollar bidding was done between two men, both in the room. Ultimately, the winning bid would be placed by Mr. Aurel Bacs, formerly head of Christie's International Watch Department, and as of last week, consultant for Phillips Auction House. It should be noted that Mr. Bacs was also a serious bidder, and winner, at the Patek Philippe 175 Auction held by his former employer on Sunday night.

No doubt, the Henry Graves Jr. Supercomplication will not be joining Bacs' private collection, but rather one of his trusted clients. Who exactly? Something tells us Mr. Bacs won't be too forthcoming with that information.
