Today i have filmed at the Fiorano track a VERY strange and curious mule based on the 599 GTO, actually the 1st on internet. You can see some interesting details such as different led headlights, a raw exhaust system, new extractor, raw rear and front air intakes in which you can see inside some red sensors. This is for sure a mule but nobody knows exactly what they're testing, maybe the Kers system or new components for the future.

Maybe one of the very first road test for the new 599 replacement? The very first tests for the 458 were made with the F430 but with under the 458 mechanic compoments, maybe they're doing the same with this one.
Quite possibly! Absolutely cant wait for the 599 successor! Nice find, thanks for posting it up!

Could it be a powertrain mule for the next generation 612? Or possibly even the F60 or whatever the next supercar will be named?

Everyone thinks the f60 is a production car. Is an f1 car. Quote from wikipedia

Not to be confused with the Enzo Ferrari (car), which is sometimes referred to as the F60.
The Ferrari F60 is a Formula One motor racing car, which Scuderia Ferrari used to compete in the 2009 Formula One season. The car was unveiled on 12 January 2009

The car that would have been the F60 to replace the F50 actually was the Enzo, but that was when Enzo Ferrari died, so they named the car after him instead of calling it the F60.
