Had a great time this past weekend running with about 30 other Cobra's + one Pantera, from our starting point in Antioch, CA, to South Lake Tahoe taking the "long way".

Here's a video of us leaving the Somersville Town Center in Antioch:

And some pictures I took along the way (and this is just Friday):

This is a MOTHER that owns and drive her Cobra, along with her son for the entire weekend... he's going to be very lucky when he gets older:

Saturday still to come (the Thunderbird Lodge); the man who built this self-professed "Castle in the Sky" would have fit right in at L4P. Look up the bio for George P. Whittell. ( http://www.thunderbirdlodge.org/theman.html ) Anyone who brings his pet LION to a bar just for fun has to be a major baller!

A few more; these are at the Thunderbird Lodge near Incline Village:

The Thunderbird boat made of South American mahogany and stainless steel:

As a recluse in his later years, he had tunnels dug so he could sneak to his boat house and card house so the public and press could not see him. Inside, he also had what we believed was an opium den (Dancing Devils fireplace):

Bill the lion was known to be caged down here and/or wander the tunnels. :D

The boat as it docked:

TWIN MERLIN engines power this thing to 44 NMPH on the lake; at that time, it was the fastest boat of it's time on the lake.
