SCC gives a Ferrari a Skin Peal! Project XII EVIL 4RE

After a great summer under the sun we decided to give the infamous Evil430 a little skin peel and turn it from matte black to more of a semi-gloss black. This new look makes the car blend in perfectly into the night and gives it a fresh look.

We just finished painting the Ithaca Verde Lambo at SCC using all green techniques and materials.

And this was recently on the web about Ferrari's recent contribution:

"Ferrari unveiled a new solar panel system that will cut annual power usage by 210,000 kilowatt-hours at its facility in Maranello, Italy. Installed on the roof of the Engine Mechanical Machining plant, the system is part of the company’s larger plans to go green.

Ferrari also has plans for a trigeneration plant, which will cover almost all of the company’s energy needs and cut CO2 emissions by up to 30 percent. Over the past few years, they’ve also worked to create “green areas” in their industrial complexes, planting over 200 trees in the past six months.

Good for Ferrari. The fact that sports cars do not necessarily come with a low carbon footprint notwithstanding, the use of renewable energy in the production plant is a positive sign."
