The second Gallardo era is coming to an end. The production line-up of the vehicle is extended with more and more special models. Following the Superleggera and Performante are two new versions based on the Gallardo LP560-4 rumoured to be launched in early 2011, most likely the Detroit Auto Show.

The Gallardo platform has been around since the days of the 360. It is not just getting long in the tooth, the thing is a cavity.

I think thats a bit harsh, the Gallardo and the LP 560 are never going to look tired. They didnt sell 10,000 of them because they suck. Its one of the most successful super sports cars ever.

well the murci era is over, and now its replacement will debut in March. i think we can expect the Gallardo's successor in 2012 maybe?

That's an early car in the pic.

Nothing is unveiled at NAIAS anymore. Nobody pays attention to it and all the major manufactures have pulled out.
