Hey guys, new to the forum.
Thought i would introduce my MINI (ok not technically a BMW) R53 GP 1854 of 2000. Had this car for 4 years now but it was never quick enough! I'll skip most of the chopping and changing and just go for the current spec!
Heres the car - was painted in porsche battleship grey from the GT3 RS.

New bride Zeta III from japan, black takata's and roll cage from Weichers in germany, CAE Shifter from Germany too

So now we have a 1.7L stroker engine from RMW in california, with big valve head, high lift race cam, full custom exhaust and now onto fitting the rotrex supercharger :D

Holy macarony, much low, very race car, lots of mini haha

But seriously isnt the rideheight a problem for you in the UK ? with all the speedhumps ? i bet its not the first oilpan you go there am i right ? haha
I am always amazed at what pace those minis move on the track.

I used to own a mini cooper jcw until recently as a daily driver, fun little car, but for me way to busy on the autobahn at higher speed or on longer trips.
nice to see someone outside of germany rock a CAE shifter. they are just the best arent they ?

enjoy your little toy in the best of health and keep it out of the hedges ! :)

Maxxii, thanks very much! fortunately as im from Aberdeen, were in the north of scotland and the closest bit of actual ''motorway'' is 120 miles away! So speed bumps aren't an issue! And roads like Glencoe (in the new bond film) are only an hour or so away, gods playground so to speak!

The CAE is the best mod i have made! friend of mine has just put one in his E46 M3 and its just as incredible, more people should own them!

3R10 - They are awesome fun to own! And really quick, a £1k budget gets you around 250 BHP and is good reliable daily power, that with some weight saving and a suspension set up your laughing!!! Will take on most big cars on the twisties.

Some more updates;

So did some more work on friday night, after some chatting with Colin from RMW, need to add in a few bits of piping we forgot about, so need to order one for the intake to the Throttle body and a couple of Banjo bolts for the rotrex oil tank.

So onto the car, old thermostat out

Hollow one in

Air box panel filter

ECU mounts to the under side of the Air box

Air box in place and ECU placement.

Had to re tap the holes in the Rotrex to throttle body piping as they are full of powder coat

Im re using the stock manifold intake as im using the GRS front mount. So it was stripped off, I need to remove the actuator here and fabricate a blanking plate and seal it off.

Hole drilled for methanol injector

Tapped as well :)

Nice build! Been running Rotrex blowers -- C38-71 through 91 -- and meth for the past couple of years myself. They respond well to a pre-compressor, low volume, high pressure nozzle.
