We here in So Cal lost a great friend in the auto scene today. I just received a call that Robert Hines passed away this weekend. :(. I just talked to him on Saturday about this years 11-99. However he did enjoy every second of his 90+ years here. He specially enjoyed flying back in the day and driving his sports cars daily. He just recently purchased a new SLS, but that enjoyment was cut short due to his passing. Bob I loved hearing your stories every time you picked me up and we were off to a show. Will surely miss you, you were a good friend. I hope there are cars up there for you to drive, with the best roads possible. RIP Sir it was an honor knowing you :bow1:

Last time I saw Robert, last weeks Supercar Sunday

My condolences to you, Dilan and those that were close to Mr. Hines. I met him on the 11-99 run last year and he was a real gentleman. I would never have guessed that he was some 90 years old...goes to show that cars guys are forever young.

Aww D. These pics are awesome. Now u got me cryin. Bob was so nice. Dilan introduced me to him like what D, three years ago? First time I met him I saw his little placard in his car. For those that don't know, Bob had a little note on his car that gave a clear messge..

He said to me I could lean against his car when ever I wanted but I had to follow the rules! from that day on evertime I saw him we always joked around about that. D, thanks again for introducing me to him. He was a gem to everyone he met.
