Curious how Audi of SD is going to deal with the warranty issues associated with the tune?

They won't. The moment you modify an Audi the power train warranty is pretty much kaput. -Since last year, every time you bring your Audi into the dealership for service they plug your car into a computer that "calls home" and informs corporate that you have code ?21?.

So they will sell a brand new car with no warranty?

They can just say that as long as you bring the car to their dealership, they will provide you with the same factory warranty. So they would basically eat the costs on it. That's just my guess at least.

Correct. Audi USA Corporate will have voided the warranty once the computer is plugged into the car. This is an automated process the dealership does not control and is required for even simple software upgrades like steering wheels (I just went through this with my 5k mile service).
