So I took my car in for it's first service and I was a little dissapointed that when I gave them my 90k dollar car for the day they gave me a dirty Cobalt to drive.

Does this happen to anyone else? I mean I don't need a ferrari but jeeze

Nope. My dealership usually has at the very least an Audi A4 loaner but mostly I get Cayenne's.
das weak!
Mine gives out base boxsters and cayennes. If they are out of those then they will get you a car from enterprise.

But because I'm not old enough to rent from enterprise, I always get a P car :D
when you make an appt asked when they have a loaner avail, prob ran out..

happens everyday, welcome to the economy.

every car i have ever owned i got the same car as loaner... porsche gives VW's and cheap rentals.... with times being tough they cut the loaners first, depreciation on cayenne's and Boxter's add's up im sure.
dealer have limited loaners. make sure you schedule it ahead and tell them you want one. otherwise, a rental is expected.

take it this way, ferrari and lambo doesnt even give out rental...
BMW Gave me - 335I
Land Rover - LR3
Mercedes - C300

I have recieved in between the Cobalt, Nissan Maxima, but mostly the above.
that's not cool, my dealer gives me a Cayenne turbo if I bring it in. I would have asked for something a little more realistic. Talk to the service manager about it or call the nearest dealer and let them know how you are being treated as I'm sure they would appreciate your business.
Must be a rental. I think once they run out of their own loaners they use rental services.
yeah, down here they will drive and pick your car up once a year and drop you off a cayenne
Never not turned in a car and gotten something comparable. Turned in a 911, cayman, and cayenne for services and I have gotten at least a boxster or cayenne minimum. Not only call and schedule with the service department, but I usually talk to my sales guy as well and sometimes he even gives me something I am interested in to drive for the day.
op: that's like expecting a 997 turbo when you bring yours in for service. not gonna happen

when i was with bmw, we had people bringing in 100k cars, and their rental for the day was 128ic or a 328i, the cool car was the lone z4 hartop convert. the cars the dealer loans out are on their insurance, it's not cheap. try talking to porsche hq saying, "o we need a 911 for a loaner"...the response, "do you have one on the lot?"

i only had one person complain about their rental from enterprise. they brought in a 760il and got a kia for the day. granted she strolled in at noon w/o an appointment.

when you call for an appt, make sure you state you'd like a dealer loaner. loaner to the dealer means any car

X2, next time call ahead and have them reserve you a nicer car.
