The B25 is one of my favs.

April 18, 1942...six months after Pearl Harbor, wit America reeling from loss after loss in the pacific, 16 B25's (which are Army Bombers) took off from the deck of an American aircraft carrier (USS Hornet) in what was known as Doolittle's Raid.

All 16 planes were lost...they ran out of gas as they tried to make for China. 3 of the crews were captured and some of those flyers were summarily executed. 250,000 Chinese citizens were executed in retaliation for helping downed American flyers from the raid.

It was a remarkable story...and a remarkable airplane.

Awesome job! It looks like it just rolled out of the factory in Seattle.

Any interior shots?

Incredible! You did an amazing job. This must be a sign because I was just looking at a site where you can take a ride in these things. Just posted it on my FB page like ten minutes ago. 430 a pop though but my kid will never forget something like this. Saving up now! Thanks for posting this up.

here is the site I saw earlier
