Ever since I could sound out the word "Airplane," my fascination with these flying machines only grew with age. I would always tell people as a child that'd I'd be a Pilot one day. Today after much hard work, studying, training and fun flying, my dreams came true and I'm forever grateful to everyone, family, friends, L4P members, and others that have supported me throughout. Even though this accomplishment to some may seem minute but for me it's very humbling.

I have only been on here for a short period of time and in that period of time I have been fortunate enough to meet some great people here and from the Surface to Flight Level 600 and beyond lol I thank each and everyone of you. Thanks Aimee, Clay, 22lambo, KieranR, senseless1707, [email protected], DClark1983, mtm_motors, DRS31649, N360LL, Access Custom Jets, & last but not least, Arthur. You guys are all welcome aboard anytime. :)

God Speed!

Congrats! It is certainly a feeling of accomplishment. I remember the day I took my checkride, and it is one I will never forget. I ran into so many barriers on the way, but I'm glad I stuck with it and finished.

You have something that many desire, and even begin working towards, but few attain.

Congrats, dude!!!

I just passed mine 2 weeks ago, and it's absolutely surreal. I, and I'm sure you do as well, wake up every morning with a stupid grin on my face because I can tell people (but mostly just myself :D) that I'm a pilot!!!!! If you're ever over on the east coast, drop by and I'll show you why helicopters are better :p

@mtm: Thanks, no other feeling like it. I'm still waiting for it to hit me, it hasn't just yet lol.

@ACJ: Thank you! Looking forward to flying with you guys. Keep up the hard work!

@KieranR: Congratulations! Right back at ya! You are more than welcome to sit left seat anytime you are in SoCal. Btw the difference between a helicopter pilot and a fixed wing pilot is that a fixed wing pilot breaks ground and flies into the wind. A helicopter pilot breaks wind and flies into the ground. :D

Happy & Safe Flying Buddy!

Thanks Raw!

Wow only .0004%? I guess that makes sense where did you read these statistics I would like to read some more. Thank you btw for welcoming me to the club. I don't consider myself elite since I am aiming for Commercial.

I love that quote by Leo btw. Do you currently fly?

I am one of the .0004% I get to call the skies my office. Ive got my CFI and CFII with commercial multi. debating getting my MEI but have a few potential jobs (one that would put me in your neck of the woods) that would make getting a MEI pointless right now so I dunno how its gonna pan out. O and dont sell it short, Commercial certificate definitely qualifies as an elite level.

Wow that's very cool. Nothing like building hours and making money doing what you enjoy. I think the logical step now for me is IFR, Multi, Commercial, and then CFI but I'm not sure if I'd be that great of an instructor. Are you planning regional or corporate if you don't mind the inquisition? lol

Im actually planning on changing gears completely and going UAV. If that doesn't pan out i would prefer Corporate to Airlines but whatever comes my way might be hard to turn down.

I am seriously considering this as well... I have been working on a Defense contract for the last year and a half and am currently deployed overseas and loving it. I have heard very good things about the UAV program for civillians though.

Congratulations!!! Let the learning begin. As the logged hours grow, your experience grows, the circle of impossibility shrinks, and you will view the world differently. And the statistics mentioned previously become more and more numerous; for better or worse. The best thing I can tell you is that by always having mastery of the fundamentals will allow you to enjoy all the "new" that comes with every flight.

Let the hangar flying commence.

Coming from a commercial multiengine rated pilot, congrats and welcome to the club. Pilots are a different breed of human being, you'll remember that check ride for the rest of your life! Live it up and enjoy it, you earned it.

Thank you guys for the kind words. @Saleenfan & mtm - Keep us posted on whatever comes your way. UAV does sound pretty interesting.

@Aviator213: First of all Welcome to the 4! Thank you for the warm welcome. All this talk about pilot's being a different breed might get to my head haha. I know I've only just begun but I am glad to see that there are still pilots that enjoy what they do and not bitter towards the new guys.

@Ash K: That is a recipe that does not work my friend. My flying washing machine and I can handle 1-2 of them telling me how to fly. The rest I leave to you experienced pilots.
