We all love our bikes, so here's the thread where you can post them up! Give us some basic info and a picture so we can all oooh and aaah over your 2-wheeled machines.

I personally hate all the Jap bikes and such.. A Ducati is one thing, people do not go out and act like complete fools and kill everyone by doing wheelies and such while going 100 mph down the damn freeway. I would prefer sticking with something that looks classy, sexy and also has the power to rape almost all of those crotch rockets.

This is one of about 19 bikes:
149 ci Billet Engine built by Jeff Nicklus Customs/ Desperado Motorcycles (273.5 rwhp) Diamond Cut fins
360 Vee Rubber "Monster" rear tire on a 2 pc billet wheel.. 21" front tire on 1 piece billet. 6-Speed Billet Close gear flat cut gears Desperado Transmission, 1 piece main frame made of all steel. Clutchless shift, works by centrifugal motion.

Your chopper definitely looks good (and I'm a sport bike guy); but lets try to unite bikers by our similarities not our differences.

Here are a few more of my toys.
Keep in mind my father owns the companies so I get to build what I want. They are not the basic production bikes, mine are all custom.

3 Magazine Feature bikes:
Street Chopper
EasyRider
Hot Bike

Red Bike with Black wheels I sold in January 2006 On eBay after being put in the June 2005 Street Chopper Magazine
Red with silver tribal and Coyfish inlays was sold to a Customer in Dubai in late 2006
Green with Goldleaf was sold to a customer in Cancun

Thats ok, Japanese sport bikes hate you to, and your f*cking silly dungeons and dragons wizard, and your daddy's company.

Ever notice how when somebody is riding a chopper, they look like they are sitting on a lazyboy recliner with the foot rest all the way out?

I think choppers suck plain and simple.
reasons why:

they are as slow as two sloths Fvcking

they cost an arm and a leg and provide no performance in return (is the 149ci bike naturally aspirated making the high 2hundred hp? got a dyno?)

the custom choppers are hard as hell to insure. have shitty resale.

chopper riders make our insurance go up because they dont know what a helmet is and want to show off their receding hairlines to everybody.

they have vajayjay-ish pantjobs like the merlin job painted on vomit.

the owners are squids of the highest order.

they dont understand that nobody gives a damn about your 100lbs of torque if your bike weighs 1000lbs and is geared to only go 120mph.

is about as exciting as an old lincoln towncar.

and last but not least....are made and ridden by dbags like jesse james and the tuttles. while jap bikes are ridden by ben spies, and v rossi. nuff said.

yes I have owned a few. including an exile, martin bros, and a ness customized bagger....but I bought my manhood back by selling them.

I also do the same crazy shit on my ducs as I do on my jap inlines....one is just a lot faster. can you guess which one?

ps. I know many a crotch rocket who would rape a chopper silly. 270ish whp is really nothing. its like bring an old rusty spork to a gun fight.

Since the original poster is in a stereotyping mood, I thought I would throw mine into the mix, just for shits and giggles. One day, a long time ago, while out cruising with my buddies, this guy, who thought he was a bad ass, pulled up in a ridiculously big 4x4. This cute girl yelled out, as loud as she could, "that guy must have the smallest dick in the world". Everyone heard it, everyone laughed and that guy couldn't get out of there fast enough. We never saw him again. Chopper guys for the most part are the same. They ride around like bad asses, on bikes that are barely ridable, when in actuallity they are more like pussy cats. Jap bike riders, like people who drive expensive sports cars, just like to go fast and have some fun. They don't try to be bad asses. Oh, and that cute girl I was talking about, she ended up in my little sports car for the night. And I didn't hear any complaints about size.

also to be fair...most builders are not this closeminded.
roger goldammer loved my busa when he saw it..and makes some performance oriented bikes. so does my buddy who owns enchanted customs...makes a few turbocharged harley based motors...also has a turbo busa that is 300 hp plus (my old bike)

^^^I used to tune TZ 250s back in the early 90s. At Willow Springs (big track) on test days, you would not believe how frustrated guys riding GSXR11s would get trying to run down a TZ. Then into turn 1, the TZ would be gone. Momentum and corner speed is otherworldly. You probably remember in the late 90s, 250GP pole times, would qualify for 3rd in the 500 grid!!! Just cause how much corner speed they carried. This is why Aprilia built the 400 V twin for the 500 class, and later Honda built the RS500V, also a V twin, but a 500.

I will say that sure most of these custom bikes and custom production bikes are weak. American Ironhorse (when they were around) Big Dog, Big Bear etc etc etc.. They are built to look good but lack BIG TIME in the power and handling department. Now, when it comes to our bikes everything is designed to be fast/powerful yet have great handling and comfort for the long haul. We don't do "cheap" like the above, all of our frames are Machined/milled steel, not press bent flanges and mounts like the others. All the axles are hidden, billet & chrome is everywhere possible, 5 layer clear-coats sanded and buffed to perfection. etc. So before anyone says "its just another custom company" we really aren't like the rest. We have been around 15 years for a reason and sell, on average, 300 bikes a year. Desperado has been named "The Ferrari of the Motorcycle Industry" for a reason.

Your damn right, I threw it right back in your face. And acting like a dip shit isn't going to help your fathers business. Are you honestly dumb enought to think that all chopper ridders are like perfect law abiding citizens, and never cause any problems. And then you have the balls to throw other chopper building companies under the bus. And then you give us your stupid opinion about Jessie, when you have no idea what really happened. You sound to me like someone who is just riding the coat tails of your fathers success, and has never been humbled by having to work hard and take the chances that your father has. I'll bet that your father would be dissapointed by the way you speek of others. I have a friend who is trying to decide on which chopper builder to build his dream bike. I'll be sure to forward him the link to this thread, so he knows, not to choose you. Maybe I should forward this to your fathers e-mail address.

No, Did not THROW THEM UNDER the bus. I stated how we build our bikes compared to the other bikes out there. Also, for your information, I just recently started my own manufacturing company without help from my father so that I can show my "stuff" without using his name and being able to build my own reputation. But no matter what I will always be his son and will have his name with me at all times. I don't think that is fair personally because his style is far different than mine but fact of the matter is, I am his son and he has made one hell of a name.

No, not all "chopper" riders are law abiding but I bet money there are way few of them out there doing wheelies and killing themselves and others like the people (majority of them being kids) out there on the crotch rockets doing such things.

I have had crotch rockets and I do ride them quite often with my friends, but we dont go out and act immature and endanger our lives or others.

no need for pm's
my name is Nazzy zaman.
you might have met me if you might have gone to:
a cmra race, a few ama races, or the texas mile instead of your local starbucks.
bikes I have owned that were:
ness custom 2008 street glide. there were a few made and sold..
exile streetfighter..the only one that was made that I know of.
MB rage. I was the original owner of the bike that franke muniz owns currently.
anything else? (you want me to show and name my current duc list, most that have some race history)
whats your name?

so are you saying that each frame you build is one off?
or just modified for each customer?
same with the engines?

explain how "one off" a custom paintjob makes a bike?

so let me guess. you raced a stock busa with your fat turd of a bike and called it a good race?
what type of a race was it? quarter mile? mile? wasnt a race with turns was it?
do you know how to take a turn?

only ones I ever see do burnouts are harleys and choppers...thats all they can do.

yes crotch rockets raise insurance...can your bikes even get insurance?

yes we go 125mph everywhere....can you bike even get to 125? (a stock zx10r does 100 in first gear lol)

what ECU are you running on your 149ci? what comp?

ps...lots of non turbo busas with larger pistons (easy to change, busa pistons sit in a "basket") are making 280whp plus.
the fact that the dyno you use not being able to handle 250whp plus..shows it all.

can your bike even brake faster than a school bus? I didnt see a single radial caliper. and saw that you use sprocket braking

ever heard of suspension? we are running nitrogen forks (ohlins fgr) and you guys are running conventional pirate leg looking forks. get with the program.

your wheels are nice...but come on now...we are running carbon wheels with ti hardware. must love the weight huh?

the point I am making is. choppers are antiques with nice paintjobs...plain and simple. no tech what so ever...looks nice from far..but the attention to detail and the tech factor are both jokes compared to a duc or even a new yamaha r1..a bike that costs only 12 grand.
hell we even have better fabricators than the chopper world who build race proven stuff...not starbuck sizzlers.

now lets be honest. all chopper owners want a crotch rocket but cant get on one because of their fat middle aged gut.

ya....a generalizations are a biatch dont ya think?

and quit comparing your choppers to a duc...as a duc owner. I am offended.

Conrad Nicklus

so are you saying that each frame you build is one off?
or just modified for each customer?
same with the engines?

The One-Off bikes are all One-Off frames. No 2 alike in the entire World. The production bikes (7 models) have their own frame for each model of course. The engines in the Production bikes are 120, 127,131, and 140 ci billet engines.

explain how "one off" a custom paintjob makes a bike?
Its not about the paint, it is about the bike it self. The one-offs are, of course, one off..Not another one in the world like it.

so let me guess. you raced a stock busa with your fat turd of a bike and called it a good race?
what type of a race was it? quarter mile? mile? wasnt a race with turns was it?
do you know how to take a turn?

It was about a 1/2 mile in Northern Houston, slight curve but not a deep banking corner like you would want. It is a 1300 modified to a 1350?? or something around there but it is NA just like Retribution is. Yes, I do know how to take a turn.

only ones I ever see do burnouts are harleys and choppers...thats all they can do.

yes crotch rockets raise insurance...can your bikes even get insurance?
We can get insurance just like a Harley or a Yamaha can, we are a MANUFACTUER not a custom builder like 99% of the others.

yes we go 125mph everywhere....can you bike even get to 125? (a stock zx10r does 100 in first gear lol)

I have been past 170 on several occasions on bikes we have built. One of our customers/my dads good friend has several of our bikes and we built him one a few years back with a 131ci dual carbed bike. I took it past 180 just outside of Sturgis and could barely hangon past that point since I had never gone that fast. I came back shaking from adrenaline and my father had to take my helmet off.. It was a rush. So needless to say the bikes we build are meant to go fast, look good and handle well. Yes you can take corners, you cant drag your knee like you love to do of course but you can go through corners in the mountains, track (if you have balls) etc.

what ECU are you running on your 149ci? what comp?

14.1 compression. No "ECU" persay. Has a custom ignition system built in house and a custom built S&S race carb.

ps...lots of non turbo busas with larger pistons (easy to change, busa pistons sit in a "basket") are making 280whp plus.
the fact that the dyno you use not being able to handle 250whp plus..shows it all.
The dyno we use dynos 500+ hp prostock bikes. The Harley frame we tested the engine in is what didnt hold up.

can your bike even brake faster than a school bus? I didnt see a single radial caliper. and saw that you use sprocket braking

We use 4-6 piston brakes on the front (depends what model) and 4 piston brakes on the rear (not single like Exile, MBros etcetc etc) these bikes stop like a champ!

ever heard of suspension? we are running nitrogen forks (ohlins fgr) and you guys are running conventional pirate leg looking forks. get with the program.
We run Nitrogen on the rear shocks in most cases and in the inverted front forks.
your wheels are nice...but come on now...we are running carbon wheels with ti hardware. must love the weight huh?
We also run some carbon wheels and even used a few carbon fiber frames from Revolution for some customers in Italy who love to track. But those are special order only, like one-offs.

the point I am making is. choppers are antiques with nice paintjobs...plain and simple. no tech what so ever...looks nice from far..but the attention to detail and the tech factor are both jokes compared to a duc or even a new yamaha r1..a bike that costs only 12 grand.
Go look at some of the engineering we use.. We dont just bolt parts together and put a nice slick paintjob. I personally love all black paint bikes with a lot of power and handling. The current owner of Retribution has currently been showing the bike all over the country and has won 1st in every show except 1 where he came in 2nd (Pamona Roadster show) Oh and when I SAY 1st place, he has won the entire show....cars, trucks, bikes etc.
hell we even have better fabricators than the chopper world who build race proven stuff...not starbuck sizzlers.

now lets be honest. all chopper owners want a crotch rocket but cant get on one because of their fat middle aged gut.

ya....a generalizations are a biatch dont ya think?
