KTM have just unveiled an upgrade to their X-Bow in the form of the X-Bow ‘R’. It will feature exactly the same engine used for Audi S3 with changes to the engine electronics and peripheral devices. This will boost power up to 300 horsepower.

Additionally, a considerably lower engine, thanks to modified mountings, will give an even higher cornering speed and increase driving precision. Two optional equipment packages will allow owners to customize the X-Bow ‘R’ as ideally as possible.

there's no comparison between this and the V8 Atom - the original Atom II yes, but not the V8. The V8 Atom is just because Ariel can, not because they need to compete with anything. This Xbow "R" is about KTM needing to move excess chassis out of their original inventory, listening to some of the complaints about the car being underpowered, and voila. It's still is 500lbs heavier and 100hp less... than the Atom V8.

I stand corrected and retract my previous statement.

It looks pretty sinister none-the-less. V8 Atom would dominate all!
