I've been browsing around this forum for a while but I'm not to active. My friend lives in Greece and he has a few hublots so he's been getting me into them for the past few weeks.

I can't find to much about them, does anyone know anything about them? Them seem to be very "underrated". What do you all think about them?

I've been wearing my friends Big Bang occasionally but I need to buy my own.

I've been wearing this:

I really want to get this Big Bang Cappuccino but I'm not sure if the $70,000 sticker price is worth it.

Anyway, lets start a discussion on Hublot's!
If you have 'em, show 'em!

I've owned a few HBB, they are great watches but really don't hold their value well.Hubolt's are very big in the sailing and yachting area. I sold the 2 that I had, but I am waiting on this one to drop. As I am a avid knife collector I will be picking this set up.

To the contrary . . .

Hublot's are over rated
I completely agree. Biver is a marketing genuis and he has done an amazing job ressurecting Hublot, but in the end, that is precisely what Hublot is: an exercise is marketing hype. Moreover, Hublot copied the AP ROO.

official? Much prefer the un-official thread. Hublot's, are over rated, over priced and that redundant case style is getting tired.

Thats a real nice mop and damascus folder :)
+1 on the over rated and over priced which is obvious on the gray market pricing. I like the watches as long as they are about 60% off list or more. Love the knife, too.

+100 Both of the watches I purchased were half priced and when I sold them I practically had to give them away....

I like the watch, don't get me wrong, but as you guys have alluded to you better get them heavily discounted or just plan on it being part of your permanent harem.

To this day Hublot's Big Bang in Rose Gold and Ceramic is still one of my favorite uses of material and color contrast.

Not a fan of Hublot, at all. However, I would probably buy one to get that knife!

I like some of them, but that diamond-thingy is hideous. The one you've been wearing is great as are the first BB chronos, imo. Some of their designs are very busy, but very nicely finished. Materials are top notch too.
It seems that they've seriously upped the prices within a year and that definitely reflects to second hand prices. I'm thinking about buying one myself.

I actually agree with most of the "negative" comments above even though I own one. It is still for me though the most good looking watch I own and my favorite one to wear.

I also agree with Greg that they copied the AP ROO and now that I am looking to buy one I find it a bit difficult since some of the ROO I like look very similar to my Hublot. See the pictures below for a comparison.

Prices in Europe just went up and I do not seem to find them heavily discounted - the usual 2k but not much more than that. Does anybody have an example website where I can see at what prices these can be available?

Here are some pictures of mine and also some pictures with various ROO and a "normal" RO.

Too many haters; this is my general run around watch, can't say that about my APs, plus it is more sedate than rocking my Pannies or the Rollies -- noone knows what they are; kind of like wearing one of Sal's invictas

charris, other than looks, how does the quality of hublot compare to your ap?

i haven't priced hublots, but other than price, haven't been able to understand why anyone would purchase one over roo.
I don't have an AP yet, but I have no complains about the quality of my Hublot. Actually I can say that the quality is excellent since some of the materials on it are not the most common ones.

Regarding prices they are not much cheaper than APs ROO.
