I am still not a great watch expert in any form. This is why I need you watch guys help. I am looking for a open faced watch that shows the guts of the watch from the front and back. I have fallen in love with that kind of watch the more I look at them. I like to see how they work. I am looking to spend about $500 bucks. I'll list a few pics to show you guys what I mean.

When looking for a particular style in a particular budget, I find overstock.com to be helpful, especially in the less than $500 watch group. You can narrow your search based on budget. Certainly, this is not an exhaustive site, but its a start. Furthermore, since you are exposing the movement, which is where alot of the investment resides, you'll likely be testing the waters of the Sturhling and Tao International Watch categories due to your budget. You'll not find Hermes, Tag, or VC in your budget, unless you happen to be friends with Arnold Palmer's nephew;)

That Pam is really really nice and may go if the price is right. But to be honest the Pam that Ive had my eye on is a Pam 113

I'll be saving for awhile on that one

Shoot me a PM with the price you want for your Pam.

The best way to go right there  113 is a stunner

A while back I read something about this watch:

It's a skeleton watch from Tavannes. The watch was supposed to sell for $995, but I haven't been able to find anything new on it, other than the writeup I initially saw.

More than you said you were looking to spend, but it looks like a nice piece.

Here's a link to the reprint of the article.

Or you could get a Lum-Tec and get a sapphire caseback put on it like I did.
