Hi Guys,

I'm about to purchase a SLR in a few weeks..I have been getting a mixed opinion regarding which brand to buy? I also want to do a lot of filming..Is there a camera that's good for both? Or would I have to buy a Camera and vid cam?

/end thread... I currently shot both photo and vid with a T1i and will be looking to upgrade to a 7D later in the year.. If you got the money go for the full frame 5dmkii

Recently sold all of my Nikon equipment and bought a 5D MKII. If it's in the budget ($2,399 for the body) then look no further.

If you don't want a full frame sensor, the 7D is absolutely amazing, and it also shoot 60fps at 720p (5D doesn't) at a lower price point of $1,699 for the body.

T2i is the economy version but is still a hell of a lot of bang for the buck at only $799.
