The Glickenhaus Toys....

L4P is very thankful to have recevied from the man himelf, James Glickenhaus, some portraits of just a handful of the amazing automobiles that are at his compounds.

A little history on James himself: James Glickenhaus is an American investment professional at Glickenhaus & Co., the finance firm started by his father, Seth Glickenhaus. He was formerly a movie director before entering the finance world.

Glickenhaus wrote, directed and produced a number of films in the 1980s and 1990s including the controversial[1] film The Exterminator and the Jackie Chan vehicle, The Protector. Having left the movie business several years ago, he returns with a cameo in Frank Henenlotter's upcoming film Bad Biology. Glickenhaus is also an avid collector of former racing vehicles, especially Ferraris. His coachbuilt Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina has been covered in national publications like Car and Driver.

And his baby at the moment, The Ferrari Competizione P4/5. This special car is becoming a world wide known project. They have created a Fan Page on Facebook for us to all follow. Please Like the page and enjoy the daily car porn the team continues to share.

Its not a giant collection like the last yes but it has true heart and passion behind it. The P4/5 Competizione story is enough to make me tip my hat.

Sorry as I had planned to go and be a part of Jims Charity Dinner that evening but my work schedule did not allow me to attend ,socialize and Photograph this great space . I wanted to share the images with this great community here and for myself and my friends
I was anxious to see a real auto enthusiast and a passionate Ferrari owners Garage or maybe calling it a garage may not compliment his valuable possessions . I have met Jim Numerous times at The Miracle Mile Mall in Manhasset Long Island for their Sept Concours and Greenwich Connecticut Concours D'elegance. He is an absolute Gentleman and is approachable and loves to talk about racing and History . Although I do not know much about the P4/5 history My Father knew it very well and will bring me up to date next time I see Jim .

Thanks to L4P and Mr. Glickenhaus for sharing this beautiful collection it is a wonderful insiders view and most appreciated.

To Mr. Glickenhaus I would to say thank you for doing your part to preserve our racing heritage. All to often collectors become fixated on 'this option was only available on this model and only 3 were ever made during 19XX' instead of cars that moved our passion for speed and driving further. Race cars and their road going versions are, to me, the most important aspects of our collective automotive history.
