Howdy!!! First off I live in western New York. I came across this forum after looking for a used Aston Martin and decided to join after seeing there is a good amount of real car enthusiasts here instead of what I am used to where I live, so I decided to join your great community. I say community because there isn't a lot of bashing or trolls here. Little background, at 22 I decided with my newfound job I wanted a V8 project car so I got an 03 Termi Mustang and swapped the pulleys, belts, headers back exhaust, I ported the throttle body and on the dyno it had 479 HP. After having enough of stretching to reach the shifter (Ford's engineering) and just getting fed up with it, mind you I am 6'2", so reach has not been an issue in life. I decided to sell it. Picked up a 98 Camaro Z28, did the standard upgrades... Cold air intake, ported the throttle body, FAST 92mm intake, injectors, swapped the heads, cam, rollers, lifters, and pushrods...then because adrenaline apparently is scarce in my blood stream I changed the gear ratios to 4:10... It dyno'd at a modest 436 HP... Then I de-badged it because I really enjoyed surprising the person in the next lane (past the street racing scene now, save for the Brian O'Conner jokes.) Since that power wasn't enough and I was still a machinist at that point I swapped the engine for a 427 long block crate engine, then the powers that be made me build that up too. Switched the Headers for the new engine, changed the intake manifold to a 102mm and bought a billet rod of hardened tool steel and during my lunch breaks I would run the CNC lathe and CNC mill to grind out my own camshaft using BOBCAD. After switching the ECU and tuning it made a respectable 543 HP... And still looked like a V6 so it was rewarding taking quite a few high end cars at a red light, and got annoying when every civic, and eclipse with a Boeing 747 wing revved their engine at me. After a night of 40 pulls with some friends I lost control and had an epiphany while waking up in the ICU. TRACKS ONLY, anyway I am looking for a more turn friendly vehicle in the near future while right now I drive a mall friendly Grand Cherokee until I can find the right project car.

Can't wait to get back into it and contribute after lurking around for a month or so...
