Hey folks...
I want to show you the development of my current project "How to steal a million" - a hommage to Audrey Hepburn (i love to paint Audrey, because there`s so much expression in her face...).

After welding, preparing and painting a 70x50cm piece of aluminium sheet, I begin with the airbrush work........pictures say more than 1000 words.

In the next step I did the rag letters and equalized the crossover of the several coats with tons of clearcoat and a few sanding sessions.

After drying the sheet several times with infrered heaters and sanding again I was ready for the next step....copper leaf florals. After drawing and cutting the stencils I applied the copper leaf with a special glue and "twisted" it for the wonderful light breaking FX.

THX...yes, the whole photorealism stuff is done freehand by airbrush and several pencil, brush and scratching techniques.

After some more coats of clear coat and sanding again I`m going on with the fine work...some portrait pictures in "black and white old school straight out of wallet style"

After a compulsory break because of illness i did the last steps of the fiiiiine airbrush work...(the coin is only here, to help you to imagine the scale...)

...and after the next clear coat session, today I went on with the last steps....final spurt now.....

Now then....I`m finished =)

The picture is hanging in a local PORSCHE museum, near to my 356 picture...
