I'll speak for Darrin and say: "Yep"
Ha thanks.
Yep I take my 04 off road often, but the 08 has yet to see the dirt only because the weather here in Colorado has not been fair.

Even taking it off road does not require that amount of $$ in repairs unless your hitting trees and boulders.

How do you go offroad and not hit boulders and trees, isn't that the point?

Thank god its under warantee till May because its in the shop right now for a leaking coolant line. Replacing airshocks, tie rods, regular tune ups and replacing defective parts (one headlamp is $1000) has amounted to well over $10k since I bought this truck two years ago. Half of which was covered.

The power steering is starting to make weird sounds now :bitenails: that will be another 2g's im sure.

Im not complaining, just explaining.

It will be a tough decision to keep it or not out of warantee. I would be too jealous of whoever buys it from to sell it though after I have put so much into it.

I had the same thought about a "mature" car and picked up a Range. I was bored within a month or so and had plenty of issues. I sold it shortly after the warranty ran out. Either buy a Range under warranty or pick up a used Land Cruiser/LX470 if you want to stay in that vehicle class.

I will say I miss mine at times, but I couldn't own it as my main vehicle.

Thats what a friend suggested too!

Most of the Rovers I looked at aren't local, my major concern would be the maintenance. I think I'm over getting one unless its new or with a warranty.
smart friend.

The thing bout the spec b is its entry level luxury, very sporty and cheap to modify. So in short its a comfy, great handling sporty ride thats easy to make hella fast.

Im goin for this as a daily driver.

We own two Range Rovers.
A 2004 and a 2008.

Our 2004 (for sale) has 82000 miles on it an also an extended warranty till 100K or 07/2011. The important thing about Range Rovers is that they rely on their proper maintenance being done. Its funny to see many people buying a Range Rover second hand and expecting them to be problem free the rest of their on road life.

Fact is, I have not spent 10K on my rover, but I have spent about > 1.5K a year on it keeping it in great running shape. Such as replacing all coolant hoses rather than just one that burst. Or replacing all ware out items such as air suspension parts.

If you just keep up with the up keep you will not be left on the side of the road.

Our 2004 has had two issues, one was replaced by the recall and the second by extended warranty (coolant tank).

Our 2008 has been a charm also, but we did not purchase an extended warranty for this one because it was wasted on the 2004.

I do agree that there have been some RRs that have has quality issues, but LR has always taken care of them.

You want something that wont brake, by a plain TOYO.
Darrin....Shhhuh...let them whine...we might get a better deal on our next new one if other people stop buying them! Kind of like "Surfing sux, you do NOT want to try it! LOL:clap:

Owning a RR is like having a mistress: darn expensive to maintain but darn good ...

I guess at least ... I never had a mistress but had a 2010 RR SC that fed up after 300 miles :eek:hwell:

Was thinking the same thing this summer, but they have been talking of shutting it down for 20 years, the chamber of commerce disclosed its finding showing that the surrounding towns would lose 70% of their incomes, basically making them ghost towns.

Maybe we could get a Subaru to go with us in case we can't handle it!!!!!

Is that when you are going or is that just a proposed date?

Maybe we can just turn it into a L4P, party for off-roaders.

iBK3000, like the video, looks like we have wheeled with the same people. I recognize a couple of those rigs. How did you get hooked up with the Vegas crowd?
