As the title says: What's your opinion bout the belts, especially the buckle from Hermès? Been thinking of buying one lately, but somehow I can't really make a decision.

From what I've heard, they aren't as popular as the Louis Vuitton/ Gucci stuff, what's a plus imo b/c of the fake-rate. But they also are as subtle as a facepunch if you know them, with the big H as a buckle...

Would you rock one?

I currently rock one and it has been a great belt. I hardly expose the buckle, but when you need to dress it up, it works very well.

Definitely prefer it to the Gucci and LV belts, but that's why I chose it. Plus it's reversible, not sure if the Gucci and LV are?

Yay. Go for it kev.

They are very subtle. More business casual. Here in Geneva, Gucci's and LV's can be seen everywhere so the Hermes are considered more upmarket or higher class or whatever you wanna call it. More for people "in the know". We say that Gucci's and LV's are worn by people who wanna show off more than anything.

Some models are reversible, so it's like having 2 belts in 1.

Yea, that's what I thought too, Tien... It's very uncommon to see them on JerseyShore guys, that's what I like about these belts, and that's what makes them worth something. Classy, but still trendy and in a way representative.

and yep, they are reversible. You most likely have a black site, for a suit or something, and something different on the other site, like brown with contrast stitching.

now... custom- made or not...

they lack subtlety with its prominent buckle but most people have no clue what the H stands for. the leather is higher quality and more exclusive. if you're liking it, i'd get one over an LV and i would never buy a gucci belt.

YAY. Hermes belts are very classy looking and I've never seen one that looks like a knock off, whereas I've seen several LV and Gucci belts that are obviously fake - loose threads around the edges, off color buckles, etc.

I would definitely take a second look at a guy wearing Hermes.

I think they are one of the classiest yet understated luxury belt, I didnt even know what the "H" stood for for years. I see them on random folks about twice a year.
Im going to get one next time im in the Hermes store

You asked if we would wear one and my response was a no I just feel like a belt serves a purpose and you can have a great belt for under $80 and it will perform just as good as a belt that is $500-$800. I would rather save that extra money and put it towards a piece of art or something that you can have forever that is original. Each is own tho !
