Just curious if anyone has taken a flight in the Airbus A380. What seating class were you in? How was the boarding time etc?

Yeah, I flew on the A380 from JFK to DXB, in first class. Boarding time was relatively quick, they gave priority to first and business, and the rest of the plan took probably 20-30 mins to get aboard and doors closed. I'll post some pictures of the plane I took on my iPhone, IMO the ticket would be worth it for a longer flight, but I didn't feel that the $16k I paid for a 13 hr flight was a good value. The 1st class was suite style, meaning you are completely closed off from everybody else. There was an onboard spa (didn't visit), and a social/bar type area where I spent a few hours. Food was good, service was impeccable

I haven't but last week I was looking at plane tickets to Australia since there seems to be a bit of a fare war going on right now and saw that it was possible to fly from LAX (or SFO) to Sydney/Melbourne for as little as $656 roundtrip. And there were a ton of midweek $700-720 roundtrip flights on Qantas, which would give you the very good possibility of flying on the A380. So if you've been wanting to check out the new bird and hit up Australia, now might be the time.
