x2. I never understood autocrossing a kart. I did it one time and immediately went back to racing with others. lol

Actually, it's funny you say that because Paul Russell does endurance kart racing primarily throughout the year and around the country. He only goes to National SCCA events when they happen - once a year, and ends up kicking everyone's ass! And this event was actually a ProSolo, which is similar to AutoX, but so much more fun, IMO. Drag race start, mirror courses, 2 runs each side...really intense and a lot of people surprisingly can't handle the pressure.

I will try and find some of his endurance karting videos...pretty impressive.

Paul, the guy in the video, and I endurance karted for a year... so I guess you could say he could do it for 6 hours with 20 guys behind him. I was the older slower member of the team. But Paul (and others on our team) would often set fast laps at the races, including against some semi-pro racers.

Paul is quick. He runs SKUSA and was at Nats in Las Vegas. He likes wheel to wheel in karts. Me...not so much after seeing too many accidents.

As to the draw of autocrossing a kart? I dunno.. but I really like it. The speed at which the corners come up to you forces you to think a lot faster than a track where I know it like the back of my hand. Certainly not the same thrill as wheel to wheel, but in my opinion kicks ass on just a simple track day (though I like track days for overall seat time).
Are you all talking about Endurance Karting as in with Johan?
wow looks like hell on wheels...must be nuts to drive!

Nope. We mainly did the series with Richie Hearn here in SoCal.

p.s. You may be interested per your helmet, I work with the Redbull F1 team. We went over to the UK last year for a private F1 testing day.
