Up for sale is my Seiko Black Monster (SKX779K) with original stainless steel bracelet.

Condition: TZ Scale – 96-97%.

Included: Box, instruction manual, hang tag, and all extra links (bracelet currently sized for a 7.25” wrist).

Asking $165 shipped in CONUS via USPS with insurance and signature confirmation.

Thanks, Sal. As far as I know there's only one size - officially 42mm dia. excluding the crown. I think perhaps some people just assume it's a 44mm because the Monsters wear slightly larger than you'd expect from a 42mm diver due to it's "bolder" design elements (beefy bezel, raised partial bezel guards, etc.).

I see I see. Fills the wrist quite nicely. For the money, Seiko is a great mix of quality and value.

I agree. IMO, Seiko (and Orient, but I'm not as big a fan of Orient's designs) make some of the best valued divers on the market today. The Black/Orange Monsters can be had easily for sub-$200 (like this one ), they comply fully with ISO 6425 standards (I honestly can't think of many other brands that can claim this for a line of divers in a comparable price range), and the Monster bracelets are one of the best in the sub-$1k dive watch price range.

I'm not really in a huge rush to part with this watch; the only reason I'm listing it is because it hasn't gotten any wrist time at all as of late. On days when I'm feeling a dive watch, I've been reaching for my new Tektite or my Orange Monster.

The Snow Monster L.E. looks pretty cool, but I feel those are really only for the hard-core collectors. No way am I spending that much $ for a Seiko Monster, L.E. or not. :lol:

If this doesn't sell, I might consider just using it as an experiment/mod watch. There seems to be a never-ending market for Seiko mods. This one caught my eye recently:
