very cool.

i was invited to a night launch by astronaut John Grunsfeld's father.

spectacular experience..

it was interesting how quickly the shuttle disappeared into the night.

we were able to sit in on some of the family briefings which basically pointed out that their loved one was sitting on the top of a bomb.

very scary. but wow!

Your right what an experience, an experience that we should be duplicating, not seeing the end of. I literally just watched the Russian's send a crew (including an American) into space latched to the top of one of their rockets because we are no longer in the business of sending people into space, just shameful.
