I now see this is a repost, but here is the article as it was printed in the paper today.

Los Angeles Times
September 2, 1010

"Luxury carmaker Ferrari is recalling the Italia 458 cars it made this year after five incidents involving fires were reported, the company said.

Ferrari sent letters to all 1,248 owners of the model to replace an adhesive that may have caused the problems. Ferrari will attach a new heat shield with additional mechanical fasteners.

There were problems reported with the cars in California, China, France, and Switzerland. The incidents happened in extreme conditions beginning in July, the spokesman said.

Owners of the vehicles that caught fire will receive a new model, which usually costs more than $200,000."
