I am so glad to know that I am not the only one that gets scared shitless in the woods by myself.

I love to go hiking early in the morning and have had those "eyes" follow me in the woods. 99% sure it was just deer but still very creepy.

Not anymore. I used to hike with a mutt of a dog that hated everyone buy me and my wife. Great dog to go hiking with and has scared the shit out of me in the woods on a couple of occasions. Asleep in the middle of the night and all of a sudden he jumps up and barks at the dark... and I shit myself....

in my opinion those are the best kind of dogs...dogs worry me when they can be aproached by anyone but their owners. they are no good.

Just found out a little while ago that my little dog, who I've had for 10 years, has a severe heart condition. She was just given less than a year to live. Lost my other dog of 14 years last year at this exact time. December is a bad time for me and dogs.

That's awful. I've got a little mutt Jack Russel that's around that age. She's been holding pretty strong, but she's turned into an old grouch. She's got some pretty bad cataracts on her eyes, though. I'd be heart broken if I lost her. (No, I can't tell you the exact age because she was found on the street years and years ago, but she's definitely at least 12)
