Guys,

Thinking about possibly picking up a Black Series and wanted to know your thoughts and if you know of some that are available.

I'm not really sure where pricing is at on these, just thinking I might want one

i think they are pretty nice... a friend of mine has one, and its the only one i have ever seen...

i think they are in the 70's and 80's range...

All of my friends who have high end Mercedes say do not own one with out a warranty. As their warranties wear out they trade them in for a newer one every time. Personally, the Black Series is an iconic car and I would never kick it out of my garage.

I hear ya on that one...my E55 has a warranty that is expiring next November. I usually don't like owning a car out of warranty anyway but these CLK's are pretty bad ass.

Not sure what else I would want to buy but the CLK BS is just a thought.

The CLK 63 BS is pretty badass.

I know a dealership in Germany that used to have one for sale for €90k. Don't know if they still have it in stock, but it dident really sell, so maybe its still there.....

I love the way they look. Not sure about the pricing though. I know they are about 100K.

Had one for a few months. It was a great car. I wouldn't consider it as a daily driver, and that is what I did with mine. The stock Cup tires lasted all of about 30 miles (exaggerating). The ride was rough, but not too bad. Comparable to a GT3. Power was much more noticeable than the other 63's. We had an SL63 at the same time and the BS was in a league of it's own power wise. Probably because of the weight savings as well. All in all, I really REALLY regret ever selling that car. I traded it for a GT-R, and while it was also a great car, the black series had it's own characteristic feel. I'd say go for it. I've seen some dipping into the 70's lately, and at that price, you can't beat it.

Nice to hear how much faster it is than a standard 63 car...and of course I'd be adding a shit load of Renntech mods to it if I were to pick one up. For the money it seems like a pretty fun car to have

Not my car, but it was built by EvoSport here in SoCal. It is, without a doubt, my favorite BS since the car has come out. The car is stunning in person.

If this doesn't convince someone to buy a BS, nothing can.

Hey! Congrats on being in the market for a new ride! Your E55 is stunning and it would be hard for me to trade it in but this seems like a good pick if you are a die hard MBZ/AMG guy. I've never been behind the wheel of one of these cars, but aesthetically they are beautiful and mean looking at the same time! Also, really a neat car because of how few you see around. I can definitely count the number of sightings I've had on one hand. Mid-70's for the whip does seem a little high though. A lot can be had at that price point.

^^I don't think anything compares at the price. Very few examples and holding resell is at the top of the list.

Chris, do you mind PM'ing me in detail your experience with your BS?

Also, around that range the only cars that come to mind are a 997 turbo, GT-R's are in the 60's (asking prices). What else is really out there at that price if I want to buy used??

JD, I have become pretty diehard AMG fan because I am a torque freak (can't wait for the new 5.5L TT engines!!) so the Black Series has become a car pretty high on my list. Especially because you don't see them around much.

If you guys hear of any cars available please let me know...this may the car for me!! Seems like the consensus is pretty high on them and thank you everyone for your thoughts so far.
