Ok boys and girls! I came across this story through a friend of mine that REALLY caught my attention.

A caption from the Facebook page "Alivia's Road"...

"Alivia Holmes was a 16 year old girl that was involved in a car crash that changed her life forever. She lived to dance, but that passion was robbed from her in that accident that happened in 2009. The crash claimed left Alivia paralyzed from the diapghragm down. Alivia was in the ICU of Schneider's Children's Hospital for three and a half weeks before being moved to Saint Charles Hospital for an extensive period of rehabilitation.

We are now attempting to raise enough money to buy a van that is handicap accessible. Alivia is now 20 years old and has nothing but love for everything and everyone around her. After going through enough to make someone want to crawl into a hole and hide, Alivia is a pure example of strength and bravery. Please be brave with her and help to make a life a slight bit more accessible for Alivia."

September 19th (Thursday) from 7-11 pm there will be a Fundraiser hosted at Smithtown Landing Country Club. There will be a $50 donation/entrance fee at the door. Food will be served along with a cash bar and raffle including a bunch of great prizes (TV, iPad, MacBook, Airline tickets, Coach bags, etc...)!

Here's where we come in! We will be setting up a cruise to the event to park out front to bring a smile to Alivia's face along with hundreds of other people that will be attending! If you have any questions regarding the event, please contact KristIn Lettieri @ 631-804-8800.

Meet on LIE rest area between exits 51/52 heading EAST at 6:30 pm. We will be leaving at 7:00 pm to arrive at Smithtown Landing (495 Landing Ave # 1, Smithtown, NY 11787) around 7:30 pm.
