Alright so im looking at maybe picking up a older Range Rover for a off roading rig, and I just had a few questions about what to look for. I looked at a 1998 sport and a 2000 today both had 120K on them.

What engine is best?
What are common problems to look for?
Would it be ok to tow a small trailer with a couple of dirt bikes?

I was thinking the same thing or get a Mitsubishi Montero or even a supercharged Nissan Xterra. I just didn't want to discourage him from getting a Land Rover.

I'm not a Range Rover loyalist. I'm not a Toyota loyalist. But being a 2nd owner+ LR product owner is just stupid. They're built to do well for the first owner (if that).

Toyota 4Runner, Land Cruiser (love these) maintain their values for good reason. They're durable, they're simpler, they're trustworthy. Plus, there will be tons more aftermarket options.

Ever try to lift a Range Rover? Fit bigger tires? lol

Well looks like ill go back to looking for a truck then. I was thinking I could switch out the air ride with springs and throw on bigger tires.. Its not that easy?

I had a terrible experience with an 04 land rover. Everything is insane to fix, not expensive. insane.
