anyone else still a little hwell: about the whole M4 thing? It seems so odd to change such a long running tradition for either marketing or competitive reasons.

I believe they wanted to change the e9x models to M4 but decided to scratch the idea. Seems they are bringing it back again and it is quite disappointing to me because of the history behind the m3.

What is the purpose of the M4? M3 sporty, nimble, appeals to younger audience. M5, full size luxury sports car, not quite as nimble, appeals to older mature audience. M4 is ......?
