Why does the bet need to be a certain % of an individuals net worth? No matter who the hell you are, 1 million on a bet is a lot of money.

I know a few millionaires who aren't afraid to lose a million on a bet. Yeah the $400 is liquid but still. The million seems like alot to people who don't have $100m plus to play with.

I called someone I know who has just over $98 million (cash, not liquid) and asked how he would feel about losing a $1m bet. "I wouldn't worry about it because I'd have $97 million left"

Talk to REAL millionaires and ask them the same question. I bet you get a similar answer ;)

"(cash, not liquid)"

Cash is as liquid, as liquid gets.

Wonder who his bookie is that he could cover $5 million.

I lost 1% of my worth at the casino before and it hurt like hell. I blame the ATM for only dispensing $100s.

Calling BS on your story. First of all, as lightfoot said, cash is as liquid as you can get. If you don't know what liquid means I doubt you know "a few millionaires who aren't afriad to lose a million on a bet."

yeah I don't think betting $1 mil is impressive when you're worth $400 mil. That's like having $400 in your pocket and betting $1 on the game. No one would find that impressive
That is so far from being the same thing that I don't even know where to start.
