Hi

I am mailing a 7 lb radiator to Kuwait. The cost is about $250 via USPS. I checked with Fedex and UPS, which are $500-600.

Any other better mailing option that won't cost an arm and a leg?

Also, is there anything I should watch out for? The buyer seems a little sketchy. I will have signature and insurance.

Thanks

See if the buyer has an Aramex account.

That way all you have to do is ship it to his address in the united states and they will forward it to him. It will save a lot of time with customs.

If not just use DHL of fedex, but be sure to label it correctly for customs. If its labelled wrong or has something fishy with it, customs could hold on to it for a while.

DO NOT SEND USPS

There is no postal service in kuwait so sending through regular mail will do nothing. The package will just get lost somewhere in the world.

if u want, u could PM who u are sending it to , I may know them. I could confirm if its legit.

Thanks. It's a buyer from Ebay. He told me he has an Aramex account so I will ship there instead. Package will be insured with signature if the deal goes through. Appreciate your help on Aramex, learned something today.

+1 on Everything GSUS said, we don't have a decent postal system in Saudi either so Aramex offers us a service where we can have stuff shipped to their US addresses and they forward stuff to us.

As for the guy seeming dodgy, it is possible but nothing here is organized anyway so he might be legit but still look dodgy.

Any experience with Aramex? Their yelp has really poor review. Losing a $1k radiator would be bad. Thanks!
