I have used most Nikon and Canon entry level SLRs and the Canon Rebels are much better than the D40-60-3000-5000.

With that said, I am not trying to start a Nikon/Canon battle. I have used and still use both sides all of the time. The d90 is a great camera, as is the d300s, and I would LOVE to play with a d700. From experience though, the Rebels are better than the eantry level Nikons, hence my post
