The Grand Caravan from Dodge is one of America’s oldest family vans still in production. The minivan design dates back to 1983, when Chrysler Group, LLC, needed a large but efficient vehicle for growing American families. Since its initial introduction, it has been one of the more luxurious, best selling minivans on the market.
From the outside the minivan may seem average, but taking a closer look you’ll find many features that make driving this family vehicle convenient and enjoyable. The van boasts a power liftgate, power sliding doors, electronic stability control and so much more, all standard. While these features are not new, they are offered with more durability and ease of use than ever before.
Inside you find everything you could need for a perfect road trip. The first thing to note is the dual screen DVD/ Blu-Ray player that comes with wireless headphones. Leather trim on the armrests and throughout the interior make for a touch of higher quality, coupled with a center console that holds all the controls needed for the GPS, movies and music. The 6.5 inch touch screen provides both navigation your trip and a rearview camera to assist in avoiding accidents.

While most minivans have smaller V6 engines, this one boasts a larger 3.6-Liter V6 engine producing 283 hp and 260 lbs-ft of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission. Regardless of the larger V6 and the weight of a van, you’ll still receive up to 26 mpg on the highway and 18 in the city. You can carry up to seven passengers and have a large variety of options to choose from to keep them all entertained.
The Grand Caravan remains a leader in its class, and this brief walk around is enough to tell you why. It offers more space than most competition while including all of the amenities needed for a convenient experience. We recommend this vehicle to any consumer with a large family or anyone who needs the space, entertainment, convenience and comfort for long trips with family and/or friends.
Prices start at $26,965, however ours had a price tag of $32,505 with all of the options. Get to your local Dodge dealer now to take one for a test drive and buy yours today.
