    Default Stocks V Index Funds

I am just curious as to what each of you focus on?
Individual stocks, index funds or alternate forms of investing (bonds, futures etc.)?
I try to keep diversified portfolio of both individual stocks and index funds, but I'm actually seeing more returns from index funds with stocks appreciating more in the long term.
Has anyone else found this to be the case or do my stock choices just suck?

A grand majority for me is in mutual/index funds. Passive investing, where I don't need to watch a single company directly. The fund's manager will do the work. The better a mutual fund does, more fees the manager gets. better for him, means better for me.

That is true I suppose. Also with index funds I get dividends spread over the year as opposed to my shares which are large sums concentrated around 2 times a year.
