Default Anyone holding on to NFLX?

Has anyone been looking at NFLX lately? Any ideas on their long positions?

They just announced their Q2 results, doubled profits from last year, and a 50Mil subscriber base. They're also the only streaming subscription to be in multiple countries (around 10 i believe), as opposed to HuluPlus which is US only, and with a tiny user base comparatively.

I'll agree their position in the tech space is tricky due to the whole clusterfuck going on with the FCC and Verizon / TWC / Comcast. Though that isn't as much of an issue in the rest of the world. Though they are the ones that will eventually be the winners in the situation. Once they take over internationally (which seems like it is the plan over the next few years, which no competitor is touching).

I could see them following Apple's steps and doing a stock split of sorts, seeing as over $400 a share isn't the most accessible stock on the world, certainly not something a layman could make much on.

i would like to mention that i am by far and away a novice investor, so all my speculation is from my tech savviness and interest, rather than business acumen.

I have been holding NFLX since Oct 2012 at $50. I have been adding ever since and entered a huge position today because of great earnings expectations. I can't say that you should be LONG right here as a lot of gains have been made but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it does 50% from here in 12+ months.

shit even a 40% return in 12 months would look great in any portfolio.

Well, looks like it's hit bottom for the day! Maybe time to take a small position.

Np, should have exited yesterday in AH. Just some scared retail investors worried about profit margins declining due to international expansion. Many others just taking the chance to bank some profits.

After all, 30% in 6 months, 65% in 1 year and 440% in 2 years.
