I don't hold anything long-term, but I plan to hold BBRY for a bit longer than usual. Huge gamble, that goes against my normal strategy, but I pulled the trigger.

I'll be checking into these, I also don't hold onto much for more than a month or so but I'll be jumping the size of my play money portfolio and wouldn't mind branching out from the biotech stocks.

HRAL and CLSN catch my eye (yes, because they are lower dollar stocks lol). On a serious note, looks like 2014 could be a comeback for CLSN. 2013 really tanked them. ATHX and AMBS are the hottest stocks in my portfolio right now. CYTR seems to be pushing the ceiling even further, proving more room to grow. FB is also IN MY OPINION a very safe stock I've been with since early 2013 and seen nice return. In time, FB will flourish in my opinion. ABIO and AMRN have some stuff going on with them as well. BTW as you can see most of these are biopharma companies as that has been my recent focus within my portfolio.

I think they like it because of the volatility of those stocks.

I love all types of small cap stocks ($10 and under is what i prefer) not just the biotechs but here are a few of my reasons

Volatility is the biggest advantage (or disadvantage if your not careful) , You get great responses to fundamental analysis and in a way they are more predictable than the main stream stocks IMO. Pump and dumps ect usually all end up in the shitter but if you can catch the ride up durring promotion and sell before they crash back down you can make some great gains, I have been following TGRO for about a month now and that was a great promo. You can also short them on the way down ect.

Small caps are alot more fun to me.

Great thread, look forward to checking it out and contributing as well

If I wanted to trade something volatile, I'd be trading bitcoin, not small caps.
