    If you had the immense amount of influence on an asset price like gold as JPM or GS does, and you were looking to buy at the best price possible, would you project higher or lower prices?

    And BTW, some may argue gold is not an investment, but rather money.

    That argument may hold some substance but it's highly speculative. JP and Goldman come out with similar ratings and price targets on stocks all the time, and a lot of them are accurate. You could say they project targets to aid the money flow in their favor? (ie, they're all short gold).

    In my opinion, if gold ever has to become money again we won't be in any position to be spending it. We'd have to survive a world war or 2 at the very least.
