Yes, it was a one time lost opportunity...try not to rub it in, ha ha. Took me years to get over that, even though I had a gain out of it. But can't turn back time.

Nice to see it still climbing. Starting to make money faster than Scarface. Hope it holds up.

Curious about what caused the massive spike from 70ish to 90ish between close and open in the second week of August last month. Anyone recall? Just going over the chart for the last couple months and noticed that.

Coke bought a large stake in Monster for around $2B. That's the whole reason why everyone is talking about Monster in the first place.

Thread's from 2012. First post since January in here was on this page. I didn't see any references to the Coke purchase. I do appreciate the insight, thanks for filling me in!

I am old school, and if I like a product in comparison to other similar products out there, that has a good sign for me. I mean really, buy some variety of red bull and buy some variety of Monster, and see which really tastes better. M80, yum yum. Then I always ask at the convince stores how things are going, etc. whether people are still buying these funky drinks. Then I also ask people about why they like it when I see them with a can. I guess that's my attempt at street smart analysis vs tech analysis. Same with SBUX, lines out the door of people waiting endlessly demanding the brew. MNST seems to just have endurance for always topping expectations, which is also why I continue to gamble with it.
